In order for every child to have the best opportunity to learn in a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment, all students are expected to follow our classroom rules. Our goal as a class is to follow the rules and understand that these basic rules help them build positive, respectful relationships with children and adults in our school community. Our class rules: 1. Raise your hand for permission to speak or leave your seat. 2. Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself. 3. Listen when others are talking. 4. Work and play in a safe manner. 5. Respect others.
Conduct: At the start of each day, all students begin on “S”. If he/she breaks a rule their clip will be moved to “warning” (because we all make mistakes from time to time). The students clip will continue to be moved to “S-, N or U” if rules continue to be broken. Or, your child may clip up for making good choices.
S = Great Behavior Warning (S) = *one warning, still gets “S” for conduct grade S- = *5 minute time out, *note in agenda N = *10 minute time out, *note in agenda U = *15 minute time out, *note in agenda/phone call home
*Please keep in mind that if your child makes a more severe inappropriate choice (ex. hitting), then “warning” will be skipped.
Students can receive individual rewards for good conduct: *stickers *happy notes *individual treats *verbal praise *treasure chest on Friday for all S’s for the week
